Paulo Orlando was biding his time in Triple-A, hoping to be recalled by the Royals when the rosters expand in September, when he got a call from them over the weekend. In his first game back, the Brazilian outfielder hit a grand slam in the ninth inning off All-Star closer Brad Boxberger, giving the Royals a 9-5 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday in the opener of a day-night doubleheader. ”I just prepared in the minor leagues and waited for the opportunity,” Orlando said.
