Brewer Unveils Public Safety Plan
Indianapolis Republican mayoral candidate Chuck Brewer is unveiling a 12-point public safety plan that has a heavy focus on attacking the illegal drug trade, increasing police intelligence and providing more social services to aid in crime prevention.
Brewer discussed his proposal during an interview on WIBC’s Abdul at Large program.
It includes hiring 150 new officers, 115 would come from a plan already approved by incumbent Mayor Greg Ballard and the City-County Council. The additional 35 officers would be assigned to narcotics.
