Indiana Democratic Party Statement Commemorating Labor Day

INDIANAPOLIS – John Zody, Chairman of the Indiana Democratic Party, today released the following statement commemorating the Labor Day holiday.

“As we celebrate this Labor Day holiday, we must remember that there’s more work to be done to protect and support Hoosier workers. Democrats have and will continue to fight tirelessly to repeal laws like so-called “Right to Work” and restore the common construction wage so that hardworking and skilled Hoosiers are able to make a wage they deserve. We must also bridge the expanding wage gap and finally bring equal pay to our Hoosier women and minorities. It will be a tough fight to win, but much like our resilient workforce, we know some hard work will bring the commonsense solutions necessary to help all Hoosier families and the state of Indiana reach its full potential. On behalf of the Indiana Democratic Party, I wish everyone a safe and happy Labor Day. Let’s keep up the fight together.”
