Maty Mauk, University of Missouri Quarterback, Suspended After Leaked Video
The University of Missouri is once again under the microscope, this time coming with their football team, specifically QB Maty Mauk.
For the third time in just four months, Mauk has been suspended indefinitely after a video had been leaked earlier this week by “Total Frat Move” in which Mauk appears to be snorting a white substance off a table. The video lasting only about 15 seconds puts Mizzou back in hot water, with public scrutiny coming down in its harshest form. The University of Missouri has encountered plenty of negative publicity over the course of the last calendar year and continues in 2016. There has been no confirmation from Mizzou that confirms their quarterback was apart of the video.
Many of the players on the football team quickly came to the defense of Mauk, claiming that the video was “over 2 years old” and that he has “continued to stay clean”.

Many of the players and fans taking to Twitter to express their support of Maty Mauk:
That video is from 2 years ago. Everyone has made a mistake before somebody just felt like it'd be cool to ruin his life…. He's been clean

The University of Missouri continues to “gather more information” on the surrounding news of their quarterback. “This is an issue we take very seriously and one that will not be tolerated within our program,” the coaches said in a joint statement. “We will take appropriate action once we have all the facts.”
News of Mauk’s suspension was first reported by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Maty Mauk, who played in only 4 games in the 2015 season for Mizzou was barred by disciplinary actions that caused him to miss much of the season. He was suspended in September for “undisclosed reason” and when reinstated in late October, suspended once again as of November 1st. The University of Missouri Football staff planned to reevaluate him at the end of the season, which seems unlikely now.
We will update you with more information as soon as it is made available.
