Baron Hill Makes It Official
INDIANAPOLIS, IN—Surrounded by his family, Baron Hill filed his candidacy for the U. S. Senate in the Indiana Secretary of State’s office on Wednesday.
“I’m running for the U. S. Senate to get past the popular political rhetoric that is being used to divide Americans and back to building opportunities for all Americans who want to work for their own futures and opportunities for their children,” said Hill, the former Congressman from Indiana’s 9th District.
“Like a lot of Hoosiers, I want our kids to have a chance to go to college without being crushed by debt. I want our seniors to enjoy their lives without worrying about the basics. I want moms and dads to have work that pays enough to cover the bills and save for a future,” said Hill, surrounded by his grandchildren. What I don’t want to do is keep driving over a bridge that is crumbling, while a skilled worker and neighbor who could help fix it, sits idle.”
