This is Chairman John Zody, bringing you the weekly podcast for the Indiana Democratic Party.

Last week, I reported to you that the University of Virginia had downgraded Gov. Pence’s chances at re-election – largely because of the embarrassing and unnecessary RFRA that he signed into law last year.

And just yesterday, we found out that Democrat John Gregg outraised Governor Pence during the first three months of this year. Since December, Gov. Pence has received 1.5 million in bailouts to his campaign by the Republican Governors Association – showing that not only do pundits and political analysts agree the governor is in trouble – but his own Republican colleagues believe it is true as well.

In fact, if the Republican Governors had not given Mike Pence $500,000 in March, John Gregg would have outraised the governor by 2-1. What’s more, 97 percent of John Gregg’s contributors were from Indiana, and 85 percent were $100 or less.

These numbers not only show hard work and momentum by our next governor, but they show that Hoosiers are buying into the idea that we can do a lot better here in Indiana by electing a new governor.

Also this week, the Indiana Democratic Party announced its Mike Pence “Scorecard” feature on our www.indems.org website. Indiana Republicans said last week that Gov. Pence has a “strong record” to run on this year – but we disagree.

Gov. Pence has put his ideology over the well-being of Indiana too many times – and Hoosiers are noticing. So, when you get time, or if you need more information about why we can do better here in Indiana, visit our website at www.indems.org.

All over our great state, Hoosiers are seeing a need for change. In urban and rural settings, too many Hoosiers are being left behind because of being ignored by Statehouse Republicans. Gov. Pence and our supermajorities haven’t done nearly enough to address our growing wage gap, our D+-rated infrastructure and aren’t being honest with Hoosiers on how education is being funded here in Indiana.

This has to change. And it will change.

Hoosiers, We must come together and make sure we elect John Gregg Governor, that we elect Baron Hill to the US Senate – people who will unite and improve the lives of all Hoosiers across Indiana – and we must return Glenda Ritz to the Superintendent’s office in 2016.

Until that time comes, Democrats in Indiana will continue to talk about ways in which we can do better for Indiana’s economy, our infrastructure, our education system, and for the overall well-being of Hoosiers.
