EVERMORE MUSIC FESTIVAL IS COMING TO INDIANAPOLIS

EVERMORE MUSIC FESTIVAL IS COMING TO INDIANAPOLIS

By Luke Stultz

Indianapolis is getting a new music festival! Yes, we do have some festivals that happen in Fountain Square, Broad Ripple, Carmel and others, but the Evermore Music Festival will fill the void left by so many of those large summer music shows – Rib Fest, Indy Summer Stages and many others that have come and gone. In fact, if done right this could become something of a Forecastle, Lollapalooza or festival that draws in talent like that.

The Evermore Music Festival is the idea of Nick White, a former Executive Producer at CBS4 – WTTV, and Zach Morris. When I sat down with White I could tell that he felt Indy has a great music scene, but that it was time to bring back the feeling of a multi-stage festival which showcases talent both here in Indianapolis and nationally. If there is a theme to this year’s show it is rock and roll…this doesn’t mean that all the bands are rock related. White and Morris have not walked into this endeavor lightly, however, planning consultants for large music events and others have been involved from the beginning. While the music is important to this event, White said “we want to give back to the community” and announced that the Tony Stewart Foundation has signed on.

Personally, I think Indianapolis deserves a large scale music festival. This kind of community development facilitates the growth of downtown Indianapolis and allows surrounding businesses to prosper. If your business is interested in sponsoring the festival, please visit the website for more information.
Many of the local acts have been announced and are below:

Shiny Penny Audiodacity
Action Jackson & Lemi Vice Flannel Jane
Renegades of Bass Brett Wiscons
The Warrior Kings Stay Outside
Vesperteen Against the Clocks
Stereo Smiths The Pass

Indiana Talks is proud to partner with the Evermore Music Festival.
