Todd Young, Another GOP Candidate Who is Too Out of Touch for Hoosiers Families
INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Democratic Party Chairman John Zody issued the following statement on Todd Young’s announcement to run for the U.S. Senate.
“Todd Young’s campaign announcement is the last of what is truly the icing on the cake for a group of candidates who have used their out of touch agenda to hold hardworking Hoosier families back from reaching their full potential. From voting to deny health care coverage for Hoosiers over 50 times to failing to vote last week in favor of removing all Confederate flags from federal gravesites and barring the sale of the flag’s image at park service shops – a vote addressing one of the most pressing moral issues for our nation, Rep. Todd Young has time and again placed his ideology and loyalty to Congressional leadership ahead of responsible governing for the middle class Hoosier family. Democrats look forward to having this debate as we know Hoosiers want someone who would unite the state and help improve and include the lives of all everyday families in Indiana.”
