State Revenue Collections Fall Slightly Short

The State Budget Agency is reporting that revenue collections for July fell slightly short of estimated projections.

The Agency says general fund revenues for July were $1.04 billion, which is $6.1 million (0.6%) below the estimate based on the April 16, 2015 forecast and $1.1 million (0.1%) below revenue in July 2014.

In addition, sales tax collections were $614.3 million for July, which is $31.2 million (4.8%) below the monthly estimate and $11.4 million (1.8%) below revenue in July 2014.
