Congressman Young’s Tax Issues Bounce Back (like his checks)
(ELKHART, Ind.) — As Hoosier homeowners face today’s deadline for paying their property taxes, Congressman Young’s tax woes and his refusal to play by the rules bounce back up.
A CNN exposé found that Congressman Young failed to pay his taxes on time multiple years in a row and, when he did, the check bounced. That same report found that he misreported living in a home that he was renting, which would have saved him thousands of dollars.
“From bouncing checks and lying on his taxes to failing to gather enough signatures to make it onto the ballot, Congressman Young has spent his time in office and on the campaign trail proving that he thinks the rules don’t apply to him — which earned him the nickname #TaxEvasionTodd in the primary,” said Baron Hill for Indiana spokesman Les Braswell. “Donald Trump, who thinks Hoosier wages are too high, and Congressman Young, who thinks Social Security is a Ponzi scheme, don’t understand the struggles that Hoosier families face every day. Indiana deserves better.”
