NEW SHOW: The Assembly Call Premieres Thursday at 8PM
The Assembly Call is the place where IU fans across the globe hang out after every Indiana basketball game. As soon as every IU hoops game ends, The Assembly Call begins — delivering insight and analysis about that nights game and looking ahead to whats next for the Hoosiers.
The Assembly Call is hosted by Jerod Morris (who also hosts Podcast on the Brink), Andy Bottoms (the worlds #1-ranked bracketologist), Ryan Phillips (columnist for The Big Lead), and Will DeWitt (host of the Bears Brothers).
Meet the Hosts:
Jerod Morris
Jerod is an ’04 grad of Indiana who grew up going to games at Assembly Hall during the heyday of Calbert Cheaney.
He is currently the VP of Marketing for Rainmaker Digital, and hosts three other podcasts: The Showrunner, Primility Primer, and Podcast on the Brink — Inside the Hall’s weekly podcast about Indiana basketball.
Previously, he founded and was the managing editor of Midwest Sports Fans. He is typically the one tweeting from the @AssemblyCall Twitter account, so you can connect with him there.
Andy Bottoms
Andy is an ’00 graduate of IU and is the world’s #1 bracketologist. Seriously. Here are the rankings from Bracket Matrix.
He also does the lineup analysis for the postgame email we send the morning after every game.
You can follow Andy on Twitter at @AndyBottoms, where he can often be found late at night tweeting his informed musings about the most obscure college basketball teams and players.
Andy is now a coach himself — leading his daughters’ basketball and softball teams with the strategic mind of a young Bob Knight but the calm, smooth disposition of Brad Stevens.
Ryan Phillips
Ryan founded Rumors and Rants soon after the Internet was invented, and still posts his commentary and insider info about sports there on a regular basis.
He covered Indiana sports for the Indiana Daily Student during his time in Bloomington. Ryan is originally from California, which is why we forgive him for his incessant tweeting about USC football, the L.A. Kings, and the San Diego Padres.
He is on Twitter at @RumorsAndRants.
Will DeWitt
Will is the newest full-time member of The Assembly Call team. Chosen to be an intern for the spring 2015 semester, Will has worked his way into a full time role as The Assembly Call’s Managing Editor.
He is a current Indiana University junior majoring in Sports Media and covers Indiana sports for IUHoosiers.com. He also founded Da Bears Brothers — a live postgame show and blog for Chicago Bears fans modeled after The Assembly Call.
Follow Will on Twitter: @Wi11DeWitt.
Also, there was that time Will ran into Tom Crean on campus.
