Congressional candidate Dan Canon secures another nationwide endorsement
New Albany, Indiana- Justice Democrats, a premier nationwide progressive organization, today announced their endorsement of Dan Canon, candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in Indiana’s 9th District. Since its founding almost a year ago, Justice Democrats has called for accountability in government and has worked to advance progressive values that help ordinary Americans.
“Dan is an exceptional candidate who we are ecstatic to add to the Justice Democrats’ roster for 2018. His career as a civil rights lawyer along with his staunch advocacy for progressive policies such as Medicare for All, raising the minimum wage to at least $15 an hour, and comprehensive campaign finance reform, all make him an ideal fit for our organization,” Justice Democrats’ Director of Campaigns, Alexandra Rojas, said. “Dan’s campaign has strong grassroots support and shows the ability to connect with voters in his district, which is the kind of change we need in Washington.”
“I am proud to join a slate of candidates and elected officials who believe that American democracy must not be made a luxury good for a privileged few,” Dan Canon said. “Here in my hometown, I’ve fought corruption in government and big business my entire career. It’s a great honor to take that fight, and the fight for a more just society, to Washington with other Justice Democrats.”
