Henry to officially file for fourth term as Mayor of Fort Wayne

Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry will officially file to run for a fourth term as the City’s highest office holder on Tuesday, January 22, at 4 p.m. A press conference to share his vision for Fort Wayne’s future will follow at 5 p.m. at Allen County Democratic Party Headquarters, 7301 Decatur Road, Fort Wayne.

If re-elected, Henry says his administration will focus on public safety, neighborhood improvements, good stewardship of taxpayer money, and a continuation of the economic prosperity the City has enjoyed during the Mayor’s previous terms in office.

“I’m proud of the progress we’ve made over the past decade and want to see through completion the exciting economic initiatives we’ve begun and those my team will roll out this year,” Henry says. “I will continue focusing on the quality of life issues that have made Fort Wayne a sought- after destination to live, work and play.”

Henry said that while everyone can celebrate the momentum of the city’s revitalized downtown, he is constantly keeping a pulse on the needs and wants of the residents from every corner of the city.

“We can’t stop and be satisfied with what we’ve accomplished,” Henry says. “It’s simply not an option. By working together we can make Fort Wayne the best it can be. And while brick and mortar projects may be essential to our economic development, it is our citizens and neighborhoods that make this community a great place to call home.”
